Is Network of Faith a Christian company?
Yes. Network of Faith is actually a program
of Y4H
Designs, LLC. For details on what we believe, please see
our statement of belief.
Can any church participate in the
program?
The Network of Faith program is limited
to Christian churches only. Please see our terms
and conditions "who can participate" section
for more information.
We already have a website, can we
participate?
If your church already has a website,
the Network of Faith program can work very well for you, and
because you've already compiled the information, it should
be that much easier. All you need to do is decide which design
choice you'd like to use, then decide how your existing
information should be reorganized to fit into that template.
After the content is organized, just sign
up for the program and send it to us, and we'll do the
rest. If you'd like to use your existing graphics, or if substantial
customization is required to make your current content fit
the template, additional charges may apply. For additional
information on customization, please see our how
it works section and pricing
section, as well as other FAQ's found on this page.
Our church also runs a school, can
we include school information on our website?
Yes. As we understand church schools are
a ministry of the church, we absolutely want you to provide
information on your school using your website. We can simply
add a "school" button and link to any of the current
design choices to allow you to
provide the information. This should allow most churches ample
space to provide the necessary information (i.e.: schedules,
tuition information, etc.). If a more extensive school site
is desired, additional charges will apply. Please contact
us for additional information and pricing.
We have a church member who handles
our website, why should we participate in the Network of Faith
program?
Many churches have been blessed to have
church members who volunteer to build a simple web page and
maintain it for their home church. Unfortunately, more often
than not, this member may not possess the professional skills
to give the church the kind of website needed to reach today's
web-savvy visitors. In addition, it is often difficult to
rely on the volunteers for timely updates to the church website.
This is why so many of today's church websites may appear
outdated. This program is designed to provide a very low-cost
alternative, while providing the highest quality website available.
What will my new web address (URL,
Domain) be?
Visitors will be able to access your site
directly, they won't have to login to the Network of Faith
website first. You will have a unique web address such as:
www.networkoffaith.com/yourchurchname/. You
may also use a redirection service from an existing web address
for an additional charge. Please see our pricing
section for more information.
How do I get started?
Please see our how
it works section for full details on getting your new
website set up.
How do I give Network of Faith the
content for my website?
You can use this
form as a guideline for gathering the content for your
website. Once you've gathered everything, you'll need to send
it to us in electronic format. Text may be sent in a variety
of electronic formats, and the following are examples of those
accepted: .txt, .doc, .wpd. Text may also be included directly
into an email and mailed to: info@networkoffaith.com.
Hard copies of content are accepted, but a fee of $50/hour
applies for hand typing the information into the website.
If you are unsure about the format that you are sending, please
contact us for additional information
and assistance.
How long will it take to get my new
website?
Once we get the content, it should
only take a few days to complete your site. The timeline is
dependent on several factors including how complete the content
is, if there are any questions we have for you, and the number
of other churches ahead of you in the schedule. From start
to finish, the process shouldn't take more than a couple of
weeks, possibly much less.
What if I want to get a totally custom
site?
If the Network of Faith program isn't
adequate to meet your website needs, you can always allow
Y4H Designs to build a custom site for you. We've tried to
help churches with this need as well by discounting our normal
design rate from $60.00 per hour to just $50.00 per hour.
Will my site have banner ads and pop
ups?
Many low-cost web design and hosting programs
use banner advertisements on the participating sites to offset
the costs associated with the program. Network of Faith DOES
NOT use any form of advertising on the participating sites
or anywhere else. Your site is your own, and no additional
content is required to participate.
Can I change the section headings?
We've attempted to include all of
the high-level section headings that would be used by most
churches for a great website. In general, you should not need
to add any headings as most information will fit on those
already in place. However, the need to change the headings
will be handled on a case by case basis. Please contact
us to discuss your specific needs.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes, we accept Visa, Mastercard, and Discover.
Checks and money orders are also accepted, made payable to:
Y4H Designs.
How will I be billed?
The initial fee will be billed on sign
up and must be paid in advance. The monthly fee will be
billed on the 1st of the 15th of each month according to your
billing cycle. Invoices are all "due on receipt"
terms, and will be sent via email form or by fax for a small
additional charge. Payments may be made either by phone, mail,
or through a secure online form using a credit card.
Can I add my own images to the pages?
Yes. We've designed each template
in such a way that the images provided will maintain the overall
professional look and timeliness of your website. However,
you may replace those images with your own if you wish. Please
see our terms and conditions "file
format" section for information on what kinds of images
you may use. We will attempt to accommodate the use of your
own images at no additional charge, but please be aware that
excessive work related to those images will result in additional
charges at $50 per hour.
*Some notes on images - we strongly caution
using images of individual members of your congregation on
your website for the following reasons - (1) members come
and go, and an image of a member that is no longer at your
church will date your website and damage its credibility (2)
people are people and you may encounter some personal issues
of why one member was chosen over another (3) in order to
use these images, you should obtain permission from each member
pictured prior to publishing to avoid any legal issues, and
(4) the images included in the template are in general of
much higher quality than those available within your own congregation,
thus making it easier to maintain the professional look of
your website.
Can I include a member directory?
This feature is currently under development,
and all members will be notified when it's available.
Should I include current events on
my website?
Yes. You should include updates on special
events and sermon topics as much as possible. Site maintenance
and updates are included in the subscription cost for your
website. For addition information on the restrictions on site
updates, please see the terms and conditions
"site maintenance and updates" section.
Why don't the websites available have
more features or allow me to do all of my set up and updates
myself?
The goal of the Network of Faith program
is to provide a very low cost alternative to traditional web
design for churches. We have designed the program to allow
churches to simply supply their content in textual form, rather
than spend a lot of time dealing with online forms and pages
attempting to enter in all of their information. We've also
attempted to do this at a very low set up cost, which in general
is lower than most churches would pay to have a member of
their staff use an online form. We are currently developing
better automated tools for set up and updates which will allow
users to do more of that work themselves, should they desire
to.
